Here's how to tell apart pure titanium, β-titanium, or titanium alloy frames:
Check the temple labels
·Pure titanium eyeglasses frame: Look for "Titanium", "pure titanium", or "Titanium-IP" on the temples.
·β-titanium frame: You'll see "β-titanium" on it.
·Titanium alloy frame: It will have "Titanium Alloy" written on it.
·Regular alloy frames: They usually have no labels.

Look at the welding
Titanium melts at a very high temperature, so it can only be spot-welded.A pure titanium eyeglasses frame has a small round ring where the nose pads are welded. Alloy frames, though, have a slope shaped like a water drop at the weld.

Feel the weight
Pure titanium eyeglasses frames are super light. When you hold one, you'll barely feel any weight. This makes them great for wearing all day.
